Can anyone tell me if XBMC supports mirroring for iPad 2 and iPhone 4S? I've tried to get it to display but no luck. I have disabled AirPlay in Apple UI, to make sure there are no conflicts.
No AirPlay mirroring in XBMC for the time being (not currently planned, as far as I know, as it's a whole other monster compared to video and audio). http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=AirPlay
its just not possible atm ... nobody has hacked the mirroring encryption yet ...

That's simply a documentation of the protocol, which is helpful, but it does not describe Apple's FairPlay DRM encryption scheme, which is needed for AirPlay Mirroring. As far as I'm aware, nobody has reverse engineered FairPlay and publicly documented it--all of the commercial solutions for this require you to have iTunes installed on your computer and hook the required functions (basically make iTunes do the encoding/decoding for them.) Since iTunes is closed source and only available on Windows and OSX, I don't think anyone on the XBMC team would be interested in such a solution.
Actually it looks like AirPlay mirroring is definitely possible on Android:

Just a matter of implementing that same support in XBMC

That means nothing when the app isn't open source. Third party AirPlay mirroring receiving software has existed for years, but as long as there is no open source solution then it can't be used in XBMC.
