Full Version: Eden Subtitle addon not applying the subs

Basically my problem if someone could shed some light is that i cant use the addon after upgrading to Eden.

The main problem is not about finding the correct subs, i choose any random sub, download it and then on playback the subs do not show up. Going to the "sound" section during playback i see the subs are enabled and giving the path of the downloaded subs.

Take a look at the log.

full Debug Log please
Hey Amet,

Sorry for the delay. I experienced a very weird problem that i had to install from scratch. I installed everything from scratch and added only the xbmc subs addon.

Here is the link for the log.

hm, it tells us that the sub is downloaded and moved to "/disk2/The Adventures of Tintin 2011.en.srt" can you confirm you have that?

also tells us that XBMC dint manage to open the sub file, would be interesting to get the file if you have it.

Code:
13:07:13 T:3047160688  NOTICE: Opening Subtitle stream: 0 source: 1024
13:07:13 T:2781956976   DEBUG: CDVDPlayerAudio:: Discontinuity - was:624005770.162000, should be:624040195.329139, error:34425.167139
13:07:13 T:3047160688   ERROR: OpenStream - Unable to create subtitle parser

Strange, it was never downloaded. The htpc has been up and running since my last post.

xbmc@asrock330:/disk2$ sudo find / -name *2011.en.srt | more
xbmc@asrock330:/disk2$

Although i found something interesting here: ~/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/script.xbmc.subtitles/sub_tmp
I found this file inside the above path : The.Adventures.of.Tintin.2011.DVDRip.XviD-TARGET.srt Which is the one i selected from the list.

Then looks like you have permission issues to copy to that folder. Thats all I can think off.

Try changing download folder to some other location that you know is writable.
Thx amet, permissions set in /disk2 (my movies path) were restricting the xbmc user i created from writing to that path.
Although i used the wizard for installation and mounted from fstab my 2nd hard disk, there should be an xbmc wizard to mount any hard disks or paths and set proper permissions.
I am just saying so no else bumps into this problem.
Thx again.
