these guys have created working LINUX images for the MK802!!

damn!!

this means XBMC will soon be on there!!

im aiming at OpenELEC!!!!!

FTW!!!!!!
AWESOME!!!!!

Let us know how it goes. I would love XBMC on a stick. It should be pretty capable- that is the SoC my phone has and it plays 99% of my library.
definitely!! goal is to eventually have it run OpenELEC!!
I am a HUGE Mali fan. The Mali 400 is more capable than the Crystal HD! This could rule the sub $100 market!!!!!!!

Now that's what I'm talking about! Can't wait to see how this works out. I'm subscribing to this thread now.

Thanks Eskro!
I will definitely get one, if it runs xbmc.
Very cool.... I never had anything Android... I don't care much for it but let us know how you like it.
It's pretty amazing how things are getting smaller and smaller....

One day we are going to loose all our stuff.... Smile.... or down the toilet.

I am watching more vids on this.... pretty neat.
A concern would be how well the wifi works for high bitrate stuff.
Very cool. I like small.

well, its a $75 device here, im sure they had to cut corners somewhere.

however, these MK802 & Rasberry PI's are a new breed!
just like anything else, it'll only get better with time!!

my expectations on this MK802 are quite high but im remain down to earth,
like i said, its a $75 device here, i dont expect it to be lightning fast
but i expect it to be fast enough!!

so far i really bought it to bring it to work so that i can watch MOVIES or listen to MP3's using it!
and thats definitely something i know it'll do up to 1080P!

so thats a great start!

Smile

Fair enough Laugh

As a heads up. Be aware that the company making the MK802 took some shortcuts if it comes down to the HDMI output, protecting the voltages coming out of it. Be carefull as you might destroy the HDMI output or even worse your TV's input.

Better subscribe to the "arm-netbook" mailing list and hop on to the "arm-netbook" IRC channel to keep yourself up to date about the latest development.

Good luck, I keep an eye on your thread.
