I have noticed some pulseaudio related errors in my log file, after playing a DVD disc this morning,

I have to say that nevertheless audio works.
I have configured my Audio Output to Custom: plughw:1,7. Same for the passthrough. That way sound goes through the HDMI.

Is it possible that these errors are caused from unsuccessful downmixing?

PS: Just to mention that, some DVD discs are played with vibrating and lagging in video signal. No problem with the same DVD content (VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS folders) but played from my local hard drive.
