Actually XBMC was not my first choice, it was MediaPortal, because I had learned, it ought to be the most advanced Media Center for recording, programming (so using it like a video recorder, hard disk recorder) TV programs using a TV-Card (I do not have one yet). Might that be true? But I cannot / couldn't get Media Portal running properly on my system, there are some problems, so I tried XMBC, which runs very well.
