anybody willing to set aside a few minutes to help me process the livetv implementation via strm file? I seem to have a mental block and can't understand how to get it configured properly. I've got working strm files that pull directly from my hdhr prime, xmltv.xml file created from schedules direct. I read the bottom of post #2 and I can't seem to process it. I've been taking a break and going back every few days to see if something in my head clicks that will help me get this working. Thanks in adv. shoot me a pm if you would rather not bog down this thread with useless posts.

I use a HDhomerun device and strm files via PseudoTV Live, what parts are you missing/confused about? I'll see if i can assist.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I have tried the hub version and the latest live master version and it will not get past auto tune migrating. Locks up xbmc every time. I let it sit on the migrating box with the spinning circle for an hour last time and it just doesn't do anything. I have disabled all of the community stuff and only have local movie genres, super favourites, vevo videos and youtube subscriptions enabled in auto tune. Anyone have any ideas?

I have tried with just local files/genres.
I have tried with different combinations of local/community/youtube/vevo/super favourites and every combination results in just sitting on the migrating screen at 95%.
I have tried with the hub and live master releases.
I can hit cancel, but it still just sits there. Every time I have uninstalled I have deleted the folders left behind in addon_data and/or addons folders. I've even gone so far as to uninstall xbmc altogether. I have tried on 12.1, 12.2 and 12.3. I don't want to upgrade to gotham yet as I have other things that don't work yet with it.
I've tried for a very long time to understand how to add live streams like USTVnow or strm files to PseudoTV Live but just can't comprehend how to do it. The guides and instructions are not newb or less tech savy friendly. The guides talk about editing unspecified files in unspecified folders, pasting code in unspecified parts of the file. Could somebody please, PLEASE make
COMPLETE IDIOTS GUIDE to adding live streams? I have 0 knowledge of writing code or editing xml files.All I want is lower channels to be USTVnow channels, channels of other live streams (i have no idea where to find or how to add these too), and higher channels of my local content. I have Lunatixz's modified USTVnow plugin installed and working, Notepad ++, latest PseudoTV Live installed, and Super Favorites plugin.

I think you need to read post 1,2 and 3. some stuff only works with Gotham to btw and watch to see what channel Ptvl is on when it freezes so you know what type is causing the problem.

i cannot use PTLV at all since my movies are scrapped with a hebrew scrapper.
it did work before but stopped after the version change.

it seems that directory channels cause the PTVL to freeze. i tried it locally (/storage/Movies), i tried SMB (SMB://192.168.1.250/Movies) and NFS (NFS://192.168.1.250/NFS).
playlist, livetv and genre works great but any directory i put will freeze the plugin.
any idea?
@Luntatixz - there is a typoe in post 2 - part of my issue that I was having. Could you please go back and correct that for future morons like myself.
Is there a way to set the "*
NEW*" to be ignored in the EPG? anything with that next to the title is ignored and not scraped for enhanced artwork if it is the first time an episode is being aired.

Lol, No new can't be changed (unless u change the code), but when pvr is finished it will be replaced with an icon.
