Yes of course there will be, whether they will be out when they launch is unknown.
Heres one for example;

they "forgot" to add space for a sata drive....
Get the i5. SteamOS will be out soon. =D

Where's the HDMI??

Its mini HDMI, it's in-between the mini displayport and the ethernet port?

It was only one example, I'm sure there will be plenty coming out, probably early next year at this rate. Intel are planning on releasing their own case with space for sata drives so I'm sure passive ones will follow after.
EDIT: Here you go

I've noticed a difference on the website
http://shop.ba-computer.at/catalogsearch...uc&x=0&y=0
There's a box with product id: BOXD54250WYK & BOXD54250WYK2
The '2' is a bit more expensive. Does anyone know the difference?
I think it's because you get a Type C,E (Central Europe) powercord with it, but i'm not totally sure.
I can't see a difference other than the Power Cord, but I wonder why the difference would make about €15,--
Also, I can't find any Infos on the "2" Version on the Intel Site.

Use openelec
Get a 32gb Msata drive, its easily enough
The only other question is what remote to use with this computer, it has an IR sensor apparently which is pretty cool.
I wonder if OpenELEC will support the IR out of the box or would it need tweaking, so Any IR remote will do ?
any compatible MC Remote will do...
no tweaking need while using Openelec...

This one looks pretty good
http://www.fanlesstech.com/2013/10/haswe...-here.html
just a noob question... why do ppl want to get separate case/chassis for NUC? whats wrong with the one supplied?
btw what is a passive case?
The one supplied is not passive..
Some reviews report that fan gets a bit noisy when stressed (i5 version)...

passive case means that their is no fan therefor no fan noise, the heat will dissipate passively through the case.
Big advantage and it gives you a zero noise box, no fan noise no buzzing etc...
ah i see .. thanks for the explanation.. how much is a passive case for nuc usually?

Too much for me regarding the first ones i saw, but there seems to be a lot more now, and they have a large range:
http://www.fanlesstech.com/2013/03/fanle...undup.html
They start at about ~$80 and (way) up these days.
And another bonus is that they provide quite abit of dust protection too

Again, it was only one example
But is that going to make a difference? Think it would only fit the i5 and not the i3?
