Glad to hear they are willing to look at it. It is surprising though that they don't pick up the integrated IR device.
I've had my Haswell since monday now and just got around to installing OE on it. So far I haven't had luck with getting any audio out of it through the hdmi directly into the tv. What settings are you using? I haven't tried it on my home theater setup using passthough yet, but I probably wont bring it home from the office to try for another week or so. I'm using the Intel build. Haven't tried the generic yet.
I just got replacement RAM (initially bought 1.5v instead of 1.35v...oops) and booted my haswell NUC for the first time today. I've got the i3 version, aka D34010WYK, with a single 2GB stick of Crucial RAM, and a 30GB SSD I got off ebay for $30.

At first I had some problems where it wasn't displaying anything out either the HDMI or DisplayPort, but then it suddenly started working. I'm not sure what I did to fix it, exactly, but I've since read in the BIOS UI that there is a fast boot mode you can enable, that doesn't render anything (boot splash, "F2 to Enter Setup", etc) until the OS brings up its splash, so maybe that was enabled somehow? You hold the power button down until it beeps to disable it, apparently, and I know I held down the power button at one point while trying to fix it, but I don't remember it beeping.

Anyways, I had to explicitly set OpenELEC to use the HDMI for audio out instead of the using analog out. Once I did that, audio was fine.

And I also haven't gotten my Harmony to talk to OpenELEC via the included IR, so I eagerly await any word on that. If there's another thread or bug report somewhere that I could follow, please post a link!

I've been on IRC and I'm working to resolve it.
In the UK there is only 2 sites (same company just different names) that has it on pre-order but NOT anywhere else which is very strange !

http://www.shop.bt.com/products/intel-wi...ntent=ZA00

http://www.dabs.com/products/intel-wilso...d44ede62e5

No Amazon, no Ebuyer..... doesn't look like we are getting it in the UK anytime soon ggggggrrrrr ...well by then the IR will be fixed ....hopefully
Would anyone recommend any USB tuner that would work with NUC and OpenELEC to watch over the air TV ?
I just ordered this one in the UK http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004C1176E

Apparently it works with OpenELEC according to their forums.

Fantastic, thank you very much, will add it to my shopping card Smile now only need amazon UK to start selling the NUC haswell grrrrr
I prefer the sticks from SUNDTEK. They provide fantastic support via email, irc, skype and so on. I tried the stick with my old i3 nuc and openelec. It worked, but I just don't think XBMC is ready to be used as a pvr OS... Just my 2 cents!

Yeah there doesn't seem to be anywhere else in the uk...well except maybe primoit ?

I'll post here if somewhere else starts listing them, but it looks like we still have a good couple of weeks to wait yet before they start appearing in the EU :S

Yep, I wouldn't trust the ETA though, in the last 24 hours its gone from 15th to 21st...so somethings up. Basically hardly any retailers are listing it yet, and the ones that are have NO idea when its coming in Angry

Mine worked perfectly fine... that's strange. I didn't configure anything special with it. I have HDMI passthrough a AVR (Denon 1913)
I got my Haswell i3 NUC yesterday, just got around tonight to install Linux Mint and XBMC on it.
It does seem like the IR receiver doesn't work in linux, /dev/lirc0 is not created. I hooked up the HP IR receiver I used with my former HTPC, that works just fine.

I have a bit of an issue with getting sound to work though, setting it to HDMI 5.1 works fine with music, but playing an mkv file made the sound crackle, and the video stuttered. When I set it to HDMI stereo it works fine though, I'm going to have to look into that more.

Disappointing start. Sad Let us know how you make out.

I just ordered my Haswell i3 NUC today for hookup to my home theater system. Am hoping for flawless MKV / AC3 / DTS playback...
