I recently switched from nextPVR to mythbuntu (ver 0.25.3) and am struggling with getting xbmc to connect.

I was able to install xbmc on the host machine running MythTV configuring the MythTV cmyth PVR Client (1.6.10) just fine and it works great. However, I cant get other machines, Mint Linux, OpenElec, Windows7 and one RPI to connect up. So, basically every other machine on my network will not connect up using all the same configuration in the MythTV cmrth PVR Client.

I Removed the line in /etc/MySQL/my.cnf where db connections are limited to 127.0.0.1

I have confirmed using a sql client on the windows 7 machine (HeidiSQL) that I can connect up.

Update - Got it figured out. Realized the Myth backend was defined (default setting) to run on localhost (127.0.0.1) Once I defined to use the actual server IP address I am good to go.
