Hello Everyone

As you may have seen in the main thread, Marcos is currently in the process of moving home.

In his absence, he has asked me to compile a list of known bugs within MQ5, and as such I have started this thread.

I know that some of you have reported these previously (CW-Kid I'm predominantly thinking of you here), so here is the place to relay and gather these in one place so that MQ can easily address them when he is able to do so.

Feature suggestions are also welcome, but please don't be disappointed if these aren't included.

With regards to the bugs, we need to provide marcos as much information as possible so that he can try and determine why the errors are occurring, so please do as much research as you can, but at the very least state the platform you are running, and which build of XBMC.

My list of bugs and requests can be seen here. These are the main issues I have seen, some are bigger problems than others and some are little tweaks here and there.

Biggest problem for me personally is the music fanart and artist logo problems.

I am using OpenElec (Linux) which is currently version OpenELEC Stable - Intel x86_64 Version:3.2.4 which has XBMC V12.2 but I believe that they have the patches to V12.3 in there.

I should also add if Marcos would like remote access to my system to view some of these issues then we can setup a TeamViewer / Skype session to my desktop PC. I can then open a VNC window to one of the Linux HTPCs. Or we can just use XBMC on the desktop PC.

Hi guys, I was expecting a menu item 'Play DVD' when I installed Gotham beta and MQ5 a few days ago. Already got an answer from Samu-rai but after testing this with 15 Original Dvd's, still no option to play a DVD in the main menu. Switched back to confluence skin and there it works fine. Maybe a bug?

The MQ5 is also not pushing through the correct sound option to my amplifier. For example, if I select DTS in a movie that has DTS, previous my amplifier would go automatically to DTS, now it doesn't. There is no menu to adjust audio settings in MQ5, only the output soundcard can be chosen or am I missing it? Thanks for your help.

Have you tried checking if 'Play Disc' is enabled in the customise main menu screen?

Also, can you not change the audio output in the 'Audio (OSD)' screen?

Yep, play disc is enabled.

I can only change audio output but cannot customize as in previous versions. Like, 5.1 system or 7.1 system or amplifier supports DTS. That kind of settings I'm missing.

@Rob1978, if you use XBMC Gotham, settings, have levels now, you need change levels for see all options again.

In MQ5, go to settings, enter in one item like Appearance, press left arrow, you see now option for change levels, try change for expert, show all options.

Thanks Wanilton, I will try this after work. Need to reinstall XBMC because got an error message that ALL skins were crashed and disabled.

Trying to install mq5 from gotham beta 1 , it gives an error dependacies not met

@Skank, xbmc import addons listed imports addon.xml in skin (one or more addon maybe it´s broken for gothan). Try install first the addons, via addon manager, and after install skin.

So delete all addons and then try to reinstall skin?

No need delete all addons, I don´t know if you use frodo and update for gotham, or if you use gotham alpha and update for beta, I think error dependencies in skin, happens because skin request to xbmc import addons listed in addon.xml file, but if one addon was broken or incompatible with gotham, have message error. Idea is install first addons listed, and after install skin.

Yup i updated from frodo 12.3 to gotham beta 1


Then what should i do? how do i get the skin back?

You say first install the addons listed? (which list?)
then install the skin?

So thats equal as, start from 0 without addons?

Then i still need a simple way to delete all addons

I don´t think you need delete all addons, what your operational system?
