The shortcut is already created. Unfortunately, sometimes the shortcut is removed when you exit the installer. I still do not know why.

Yes, next release will have an x86 and x64 installer.

We need some adjust so that we can use folders to programs. But it will come.
This is an exe. Is it safe to say it is only for Windows and won't work with OpenElec?

Ember is a media manager for Windows, not a XBMC plugin.
But you can prepare all your movies and tv shows with Ember for any XBMC systems.
Unsticked, no bad feedback :-)
