Can I somehow share my xbmc collection (WIN) with a friend (MAC)?

He would be running a separate portable xbmc version (if it is possible that is) just for my collection.

I was thinking of something like uploading to him my userdate that he could use to see my collection via his XBMC in portable mode

Will he be able to read the description of movies and stuff if paths,where movies are stored, are not there(obviously)?

Could someone guide me throught the whole process if it is possible?

Several ways to do it. You could set up an FTP server for your friend. XBMC supports adding an FTP server as a source, so your friend could build their own local library using your files. FTP isn't designed for streaming but it works ok if you have enough bandwidth.

Another option would be to set up a VPN connection between the two machines, effectively giving you a private LAN over the internet.
