I am running with ubuntu 14.04 and xbmc 13.1 My problem is that when the slideshow/screensaver starts its always the same file. I have a lot of photos. They are all in sub folders under /media/ntsf/Photo/.

go to the slideshow scrensaver settings and
make sure "Display images in random order" is selected.
