Hi all
Just like to thank you all for your hard work been using xbmc since the old Xbox days.
I've always referred everybody to xbmc for their media functions.

Anyway got myself a nice new iPad Air for travelling to work jailbroke the thing and installed xbmc Gotham.
I am really struggling to add repositories via the app,I'm trying to install from various sources.
I can add the web links it finds everything I need but I just can't install from zip as I just can't see where it is.

Any help would be great
What do you mean by "can't see where it is"?
Well I go into add ons and install from zip but the repositories are just not there.
There isn't anything to add, after I have added a web source for the repositories.
Is there a Gotham FAQ and tutorial to add from source.
Thing is the layout is new to me from frodo and first time using iOS

I really don't want to be using ifile on Cydia as I only jailbroke my iPad for xbmc and I'm not that up on Cydia to be fair.
Well install from zip means that you need to download an addon/repository in the zip format before trying to install it via XBMC. It sounds like there is some general missunderstanding here what "install from zip" means?

Or do you mean with "added a web source for the repositories" that you have some sort of http server with all the zips on it and now want to install directly from that?
No I'm well aware of what zip means.
Previously on frodo and other incarnations I could download a repository package from a web source.
For instance fusion ,so I would go into add source type in the http web link for where the repositories were hosted.
Then I had to go to install from zip and add the repositories from there.

Now I can't seem to find how to do this as install from zip doesn't give me the extension I require.

Am I making any sense ?
Sorry if not all my xbmc needs have always been on Linux or windows htpc and not iOS,still it's still the same software just can't seem to figure out how to do it.
@NedScott Could you check that by any chance?
I checked this with my iPad 4 and the http://xbmc.flirc.tv repo source, and it worked just fine.
Thx a bunch
Ever figure this out kopchoir?
I'm having the same problem on my iPad Air.
Me three!

I've added the video source from @NedScott s post and the zips appear to have downloaded but when I go to system>add ons>install from zip
There are no zip files found.

Am I just being really thick hereHuh
Add it as a source under "File manager", rather than a video source.
I have no problem installing repo's from my zip file when using my i pad air surely this format works for all xmbc firmware google it and you'll get find your answer there good luck but i think you'll suss it lads
