Hi,

I installed serverWMC in a remote PC where I can watch DVB-T channels. XBMC on an other PC can see the channels, the epg infos but there isn't any picture.

RecordedTV directory contains two direcrories. ImageCache and savedForDebug.
savedforrdebug contains some wtv files.

What is the problem
Please post the complete server log (after a failed attempt to watch a live tv stream) on pastebin.com and post a link to the file here.
Hi,

It's here: http://pastebin.com/rTYifv32

Thanks a lot!
ServerWMC doesn't seem to be finding any audio/video in the WTV file created by the windows recording service.

Taking ServerWMC and XBMC out of the equation, can you confirm that everything works OK in WMC itself? You have scanned in channels OK and are able to watch them? Your system seems to have a second unknown tuning device as well as a DVB-T and FM Radio capable "AF9015 BDA Filter" device. I don't think the 2nd unknown device is a problem but id be interested to know that everything functions ok in Windows Media Center and also any information you can provide about your setup, what tuner it is etc?

If you make a recording in WMC itself, does it play OK in XBMC?
Previously I used two other tuner, but these aren't pluged and i haven't owned them now... Now I use AF9015 BDA Filter device.
Yes, serverwmc status shows that there are 3 tuners... I don't have any idea how i can remove them because I've already uninstalled the drivers with their installer...

I've just cheked it, and you're right, wmc find channels but cannot play them. I'm using dvbviewer to play channels.
WMC says no data for all channels..
I've tried to re-configure the tv signals but Playready says an error 0x800704022. I reinstalled it.

Now, better, wmc can see the titles of the channel's programs where previously 'no data' was reported. But it there isn't picture yet, it says (translated: ) service not available. there isn't tv service on this channel at this moment. It's possible that there isn't broadcast. try it later
If you cant get it working in WMC, it aint gonna work in ServerWMC Smile

You need to get the WMC Channel Scan to find channels and have them actually have video/audio within WMC. THEN focus on XBMC and ServerWMC Smile
Of course, now I can see programs with WMC but
2014/07/15 14:59:11.670 OpenLiveStream> -----------------done-------------------------
2014/07/15 14:59:11.674 Finished request OpenLiveStream in 6,16s
2014/07/15 14:59:23.513 Received client request: F4CE469A34BE|StreamStartError|smb://HOME-PC/Users/Public/Recorded TV/TempSWMC/LiveTV_EVF4CE469A34BE_DVB-T_3_2014_07_15_14_59_05.ts
2014/07/15 14:59:23.516 StreamStartError> client 'F4CE469A34BE' reports error opening stream, will close stream down

So something with the sharing is not ok. I set my PPPoE connection to home network but I cannot create homegroup. I can click that but says it's not possible...
Would it be important for streaming>
homegroup shouldn't matter but you do need to provide username and password in ServerWMC settings of a user local to "HOME-PC" that has read permission to the share \\HOME-PC\Users

PS Also it helps to always post a full log on pastebin rather than just an excerpt. Eg in this case I could also have seen/confirmed that everything else with the recording/remux was working OK, what settings you are running with, etc etc
I set username and password but I think the output is the same: http://pastebin.com/PifPjaM3

Btw: server: windows 7, client: vista.

I set the serverwmc username/passwd but i should set it in the client somewhere as well, shouldn't i?
No you don't need to set any permissions on the client side because when set in ServerWMC, it embeds the details in the SMB URL's sent to the clients (see below).

So you still seem to have a lot of cases where the stream doesn't contain any video/audio data. but also some cases where it does but you then still appear to have a file sharing problem

2014/07/15 15:44:27.879 OpenLiveStream> stream path returned to client: smb://Admin:*****@HOME-PC/Users/Public/Recorded TV/TempSWMC/LiveTV_F4CE469A34BE_DVB-T_4_2014_07_15_15_44_22.ts

2014/07/15 15:44:39.581 StreamStartError> client 'F4CE469A34BE' reports error opening stream, will close stream down

So this client cant access this smb path. Is the user/pass definitely correct? perhaps the homegroup (or windows firewall) is indeed affecting things? out of interest, does a UNC path of \\HOME-PC\Users work from the client machine?

not sure what else I can suggest, I believe it is still a permission/sharing/smb problem between your client and server... but you also still seem to have some attempts/channels not getting any data
Now, the firewall is disabled.
The username and the password was filled now. Would it be equal as a windows username/password? Because on the server side there isn't set any windows password...

The client is a remote pc, not in the same network... i have ip address, how can i access it with smb? inside of xbmc somewhere?
smb://Admin:*****@<ipaddress>/Users/Public/Recorded TV/TempSWMC/LiveTV_F4CE469A34BE_DVB-T_4_2014_07_15_15_44_22.ts
Huh

Oh, and maybe an important thing. server has ip over no-ip dynamic dns...
the user and password need to be for an actual Windows user belonging to HOME-PC. If the password is blank leave it blank, but don't just make up a user and password. These are the credentials which clients will be told to access the server with, so they need to be correct. worst case just create a windows user called "xbmc" with password "xbmc", make sure that user has permission on your share (or "Everyone" has permission on share) and then enter the user/pass in ServerWMC

Huh

Coming in a little late, but if the above means the client is not on your LAN this isn't going to work. Bur, you can use media browser to access from outside your home.
Yes, this is not in the same lan, these are in different cities. Does serverwmc work only on the same LANHuh
Smb paths with xbmc only work on the LAN (afaik). I access streams outside my home using media browser server (MBS, http://mediabrowser.tv/download/) and a browser client (chrome in my case). ServerWMC will treat MBS as a client and feed it streams, and MBS will transcode and send the streams to your remote device. You can also use MBS to schedule recordings and all the other pvr functions.
