Hello Forum,

I am hoping you can help me to understand the Upnp shared library topic. I was reading a lot of wikis, watching a lot of How-Tos on youtube and everywhere it was that simple.
Ok, I have a Syno DS107+ and two TimeCapsules with all my media in the network.
My Windows 7 PC with Gotham 13.1 should be the master of the Libraries and share it with the other connected devices like Raspberry Pi and other PC MAC.
Well, when following the How-To, I can see all the videos and music in the UPnP-Device List but when clicking a song or a video nothing happens or I will get a message "one or more items failed to play"

When I follow the other way via SMB, the song/movie is played after couple seconds.

So why isn't it start to play even I can see the content of the library ?

Please find the source.xml as well at the xbmc.log in my dropbox

ah, I think this is the known bug about UPnP not passing along the password credentials. I'm not sure if there's a work-around for this or not.
Yes, it seems like it is something with the credentials. When connecting the network drives to the PC via windows, the song starts to play immediately when picked from the library.

Using the smb way with the raspberry pi takes a looong time each and every time I am going into another artist folder.
When using the shared library way on my PC it is way faster ... So I am hoping there is a workaround or a bugfix soon.
Thanks
