Hi, it seems more than half the time I go to play a movie or TV show it crashes...it buffers and plays the sound for a second (but no video) and then crashes (XBMC has stopped working... windows is checking for a solution). I am using Windows 7 64.
I don't know if it is just Gotham, i have tried 13...13.1 and now 13.2 beta (fresh installs) with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
Nobody is going to be able to help you without a

Im no expert but it looks like dxva is having issues, have you tried updating your gpu drivers? And not with ones from MS/windows update, but from amd?

hmmm funny I just updated the drivers like you recommended, now when I try a video it acts like it is going to crash like before..plays sound for a second but instead of crashing it just stops and when I click on the video again it plays fine.... Everything works fine after that... now it only does it on the first video I play when XBMC first starts up.
I'm gonna do a fresh install and see if it works fine now, updating the drivers definitely helped, thanks.
I reinstalled XBMC, it seems it still does it just for the first video I play when XBMC first starts up.
I click to play video, it plays audio of the video for a couple of seconds then stops....after that I can play what ever video without and more problems. (so far anyway)
At least it doesn't crash anymore, it's just a minor annoyance now.

Is there then a problem with amd drivers or gotham in general. I also have this problem, xbmc is crashing after some minutes into the movie. Then at the second try it works... But I don't have HD2/HD3 have another one...
