I know it must be out there, but I just cannot seem to find the answer to my question. I know that most likely, I am searching this forum for it incorrectly. The question is: Can XBMC be minimized and kept in the background in such a way where I can listen to music while accessing my desktop, internet browser, other programs, etc?

I know this is a very simple and basic question, my apologies for having to ask it.
