Full Version: XBMC/Kodi Minimizes From Full Screen in Win7
You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
I've been having some trouble for the past couple months where XBMC and Kodi on Win7 have minmized the window from full screen without warning. Audio continues to play and a click on the task bar will bring it back. No windows notifications pop up and I've tried to uninstall most extraneous programs. It usually happens between 30 to 120 minutes in. I've provided a snippet of the log of when it happens to see if there's any obvious fix. Happened at 16:01. Any help would be appreciated.

Try disabling automatic installation of windows updates - that was a (the?) culprit on my machine.
Thanks, I'll try that.
I disabled auto-update, let a movie run, and it still minimized, any other thoughts?
Try replacing the explorer shell with event ghost:

I think you can do the same with a program called xbmclauncher.
Thanks for the suggestions, but I just ended up deleting XBMC and the appdata folder, a fresh install of the nightly Kodi build seems to have done the trick, something must have just stopped playing nice along the way.
I have Helix and this exact problem... My computer has a monitor and a TV attached... and it minimizes on a regular basis without warning....

If I open the control panel it does the same thing. Movies, Phoenix add on etc...

Probably best to not mention banned piracy addons in your first thread post. (re-forum rules)

Have a look at thread post #12 link: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=221390 to see what is causing the issue.
