Hello,

I installed Tvheadend 3.4 on my laptop (Running on Fedora 20) and I want to play RT today's live stream (which has the following URL).

URL: http://odna.octoshape.net/f3f5m2v4/cds/c...klist.m3u8

What should I do to make this happen?

Steps I followed:

Go to Configuration>DVB Inputs>IP TV and add the added the channel. Placed the URL in the "Group" column and left the column, "UDP Port" empty. It didn't work.

How to play these live streams on Tvheadend?

Cheers!
1. tvheadend 3.4 only supports UDP/RTP multicast IPTV, nothing else.

2. The latest unstable version supports HTTP sources as well but the video still has to be in MPEG-TS format. I'm not able to open the stream you linked so I can't check what the format is. I'm not sure it supports HLS though so you may be out of luck.
Hi negge,

Thank you for the reply. It was helpful. I was able to play the link I shared in my browser.
There is a support for 3.4. I am using it everyday and it is rock stable with udpxy and iptv. you will have to compile it by yourself and patch it with the patch from this thread.

You're much better off using the master branch instead of some unofficial hack.
