Hi guys,

I've bought some FireTV after the german release and got it 3 days ago.
Since than I'm trying to get stutter free tv from my tv server to the client but it doesn't work with HD TV.

I've tried out the "ArgusTV server" and the "DVB Viewer Recording Service TV server".
Both only work with SD channels. These run really fine but HD channels don't work stutter free at all.

Is there something I can do at the moment? When I add recorded TS files to XBMC with the video database the files play fine.
As far as I know this is the same like playing them by streaming, isn't it?

try to disable the MediaCodec under hardware acceleration.
worked for me on my FTV.
done on kodi alpha3 with tvheadend as PVR backend.

bad thing: massive tearing caused on no deinterlacing :-(

I'll try it out and report back. Would be great to see this working with Hardware acceleration. This is currently the only missing feature on my firetv

Another idea: change Display refresh rate from "Automatic" to 50Hz in FireTV settings.

hey. Thank you for your help. I tried both and the MediaCodec setting did it. Now it works. In some cases xbmc crashs after switching channels but everything else is great.
