I am getting Intel NUC DN2820FYKH barebone kit and I am not 100% sure what RAM is compatible. I am getting the kit from tigerdirect so I want to buy RAM from there as well, here is what it says:

Single channel SODIMM DDR3L 1066/ 1333 MHz, 1.35V

Would this RAM work? http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/S...atId=11464

If anyone can give me some links on tigerdirect.ca for RAM that will work with this intel NUC, I'd appreciate it.
Its better if you go to the intel website and check your model ram compatibility list
It should work. The RAM listed is low voltage (1.35V) which is what the NUC requires.

Just put in a search engine like google NUC model No ram, and note all the details.
The problem with the details is that even though the specs of some RAM seem like they match up, the RAM still might not work. I have tried searching for the RAM listed on their compatibility page and I was able to only find one of them at the store.
I'm thinking about getting an NUC too (i3) and was going to ask the same question.

Would this Kingston ram be any good?

NCIX Canada

Also would there be a noticeable difference between 4Gb and 8 gb of ram on a NUC?
There is a difference between 4GB and 8GB, it would definitely be noticeable. What intel NUC model are you getting?
Most likely the NUC BOXD34010WYKH1 HD Graphics 4400

I was thinking of putting in a 1Tb 2.5 HD for movies and then put the OS on the M-sata 128gb for some games. Maybe Portal, Sims 4 for my niece..etc Not sure how much the NUC can handle in terms of games.

BTW would the 1TB WD red NAS hard drive be any good in a NUC?

I'll Probably hold off until next month see if any deals pop up for Black Friday.
Very nice hard drive. I have seen NUC setups on youtube with similar hhd setup (mobile ssd for OS and then the rest on a SATA HDD). You should checkout gaming on the intel nuc, there are a lot of videos of people testing its capacity to play some modern games.

I have seen people play Modern warfare 3 on medium (could be low-medium) settings with a decent framerate.
