The official unstable ppa is not build with libbluray support?
I believe it's not
The Mario Sitz PPA is built with bluray support, but I had some problems with the addons, in particular the video scrappers always having trouble connecting, which I don't have with other PPAs
Anyone using the 26th of june compile from mario ppa? Bluray doesnt work here ( only if i select the biggest m2ts)

Maybe a problem with my new systemHuh
I have the same problem and this guys too: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?p=8...post826674

No XBMC it is not built with bluray support not even NFS and Im not sure if even with Libvaa support (I cant confirm libvaa since I dont use it)

Im a nvidia user.

Speaking of nvidia user, whoever uses Lucid and karmic can have the very latest stable Ubuntu Nvidia drivers... It may be of use to who uses XBMCLive official installations via the iso..

Can be found here https://launchpad.net/~team-iquik/+archive/nvidia-vpau/+packages

Only took me 16 tries at least.

edit driver still bummed due to more st00pid packaging bugs.

enjoy.
I notice that in my Package Manager that the Multiverse and Universe PPA components are "malformed" - seems as they can not be found: (http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/ppa/ubuntu Lucid).

Are these components no-longer supported and only "Main" Component is required? I recall a while back it was necessary to have the multiverse component repository enabled in your package manager. What has changed or what am I doing wrong. Thanks :confused2:

All PPA content is available in main repository.
Ubuntu software repositories are organized in main, restricted, universe and multiverse.
Finally built 275.09.07 drivers ok and install ok https://launchpad.net/~team-iquik/+archive/nvidia-vpau
decided I wanted to try out the mario-sitz ppa, got the repositories listed but xbmc is not installed, I have not used the ppa's in quite a while, so i am probably missing something. I am running ubuntu 10.04LTS. Thanks for your help in this matter.

Well the packages for sitz ppa for Lucid or 10.04 LTS are available alright

official packaging is totally boobed cause uxlaunch doesnt exist in Lucid but the unstable ppa will error out asking for that.

unless Sitz fixed it, it may suffer from same error.

none the less the packages are there.

https://launchpad.net/~mario-sitz/+archive/ppa?field.series_filter=lucid

also if you want newest drivers and vdpau its on my ppas post above or my signature
ok trying the mario-sitz ppa again

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mario-sitz/ppa

sudo apt-get update (no errors)

the repos listed on the page are added under additional software (lucid)

I have a feeling that I am still missing some stuff...are there any other builds that wouldnt leave me running around like this? Really want to try out some of the new features. Thanks all

would it make things easier if I upgraded to 10.10 or 11.04?
you can either upgrade (I would do fresh install dist upgrades tend to not work out so well) or compile form source, see my signature it contains both manual instructions and a script.
Is the mario-sitz ppa down? Hasn't been updated for a few days

There is no need to build Linux packages when there are no Linux relevant updates, also bare in mind that anyone who does any work like that (speaking from experience) has the time to do it all the time eh?
