what do you mean high speed?

At least on windows, the h264 video appears to be played without any frame rate limiting. The video races ahead at high speed, while the audio plays back at regular speed. This doesn't happen with the flv streams.

When using the hulu plugin (either the one from post #176, or rwparris2's version) there are usually three file types to choose from to play/stream any given video file from hulu.com. They are flv700, flv480, and h264.

The flv700 version is, IME, too high of a bitrate. Frames are dropped, or it just doesn't play at all. The h264 stream plays, but the video races along at 2x or 3x speed (not sure how fast really) while the audio plays at normal speed, thus unwatchable. This was discussed extensively in this very thread before I ever mentioned it, as evidenced by rwparris2 and whirlwind's posts in response to mine. So I figured an extensive explanation by me would have been redundant.

Anyway, that leaves an xbox user like me only the 480 flv files to stream/watch using the hulu plugin(s). This is a great option, compared to no hulu at all, but the h264 streams would be much better.

Yes, exactly. But I was refering to the flv 700 streams, not the h264 streams.

I have quite the opposite experience on my xbox. 700 streams decode fine, but I'm constantly dropping frames on h.264 streams. My cpu utilization is around 60% for 700 and 100% for h.264
700k streams working fine over here on a XBOX... oh and thanks again for the fantastic plugin!
yeah 700 works flawlessly on xbox.

Same results here.....
zoltar12 Wrote:Yeah copy the Hulu folder to the video/plugins directory. You do need a recent build that supports rtmp. I am running the latest T3CH build on my xbox.

So I should copy the Hulu folder in the video/plugins folder of the XBMC folder BEFORE I copy it to to XBOX? That's it?

Once I have it running on the XBOX, anytime I want to update the plugin, I simply overlay the files again in the video/plugins/Hulu folder on my XBOX? Correct?
700K will play fine for me but it stops abruptly at random times during playback so I usually stick with 400K
Sorry if you missed post #286?

You do not need Veoh for Hulu. It is working for me on an xbox with the latest t3ch build Dec 30, 2008 and I'm in the United States. If you aren't in the United States, then search for the work around using proxies, etc.

Make sure you put it into Video Plugins and not Scripts. Some people have done that, but you call it a plugin, so I doubt that's the issue.

the veoh script is only for content hosted on Veoh.com. All of Hulu's content is hosted by Hulu.

Hope you get it working.
Is there an alternate download location for version 0.2?

Mediafire states "Invalid File. This error has been forwarded to MediaFire's development team."

Thanks
You can use mine version .. Slightly modified of v2

1) Uses Plugin Settings to decided what format to retrieve.
2) More matches to filter stream for 700K and 480P.

I am trying to get it get play automatically instead of showing a window allow you select a stream ? SO far that doesn't seem to work ... Right now you have to select the stream ... Anyone ?
Says the file is not available. I have a real web server if you would like me to host it.
It works fine .. I was able to download it .. Do you have something blocking it ... firewall ?
