hello there

i can not run XBMC on my G4. when i start the software, a finder message will tell me this (translatet from german to english "You can not open the software 'XBMC', because it's not supportet by your system". that's a message i never saw before. and the software-icon is crossed with some "forbidden"-symbol (that i also never saw before). so i can not even start the software (it means that the error message is a finder-message and not a XBMC-message).

here are my details:

OSX Version: 10.4.11
Platform: Power Macintosh (1GHz PowerPC G4, 1 MB LD3-Cache, 1GB DDR SDRAM)
Install Method: .dmg-File
FULL Debug Log: There is no of the .log-files in the library (i think that's because i can not even start the software).

XBMC Version: 9.04.1

i have the same problems on my PowerBook 1,66GHz, 1.5GB RAM, OSX 10.4.11

what can i do? i would love to run XBMC for my multimedia-computer, all the other media-centers for mac are totally crap!

thank you for the help!

cheers from switzerland
May help if you let us know the filename of the package you downloaded.

Maybe you should try the one with "ppc" in the name. You might get better results Smile

Something to think about for next time...
