- PatrickBateman - 2011-12-06 Hey Hitcher, That's sorted that issue completely.. Thanks for that - live4ever - 2011-12-07 Hitcher, did you ever incorporate (or plan to) the "On Deck" or script.watchlist into this skin (specifically for Default/Home 1)? Mostly using Aeon Nox these days and love this script. - Hitcher - 2011-12-07 It will be used a future Alaska just not Revisited. - dajoip - 2011-12-08 dajoip Wrote:I installed this recently and I'm just loving it. Quick question - I have folders with multiple hi-resolution images to be displayed for each category on the home screen (Movies, TV Shows, Music, etc.), so I've enabled the "Multi Image" option in Settings --> Alaska --> Home Artwork and browsed to each appropriate folder. Is there a way to change the cycle time, so it doesn't scan through these quite so quickly? Anyone? - Hitcher - 2011-12-08 Edit line 354 in the Includes.xml - <timeperimage>8000</timeperimage> - keig - 2011-12-10 I have pretty new nightly Pre-eden XBMC. Installed the Alaska revisited repo from http://xbmc-repo-hitchers.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/xbmc-repo-hitcher/xbmc-repo-hitcher.zip My XBMC says the installation from that zip file was successfull. But there is no addons available for me through that repo. It is totally empty for me. No Skins-directory, nothing . What could be wrong? - Hitcher - 2011-12-10 'Force Refresh' the repo. - keig - 2011-12-10 Thanks, got it. I have been using Aeon Mq3 but it seems to be a bit heavy for my setups. Alaska revisited looks very interesting. It is so clean . And seems to be not so heavy for my PCs. I tried to add a custom item into the home menu. Having troubles with it. I have made an item with the launcher addon. I have added that item into the Favourite list. The item is launched ok when selecting it from the favourite list. I added the item as a custom item to the home menu. I enabled the custom item 1 and selected the target item from the Favourite-section from the custom item 1 config section (select favourite). I think the setup was pretty simple so I cannot figure that what could be wrong. The item won't start. All I get is a view where there is "Addon" text on the top left of the screen and in the center there is Thumb not available - text. The Thumb not available text is actually twice. They are so close to each other, the other is almost in the same location with the other one so that it is a bit hard to read those texts but they do consist from the word thumb not available. When I added that item into one of the submenus the item was launched ok. - Hitcher - 2011-12-11 Instead of adding it as a Favourites try adding it using 'Select Addon'. - keig - 2011-12-11 Hitcher Wrote:Instead of adding it as a Favourites try adding it using 'Select Addon'. Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid that is not possible. I believe my English is not good enough so that I was not able to explain my problem precisely enough. Launcher is the Addon, I believe it is pretty popular. With the Launcher Addon I can make "launchable things". Those things can be launched so that first I start the Launcher Addon and then select from the Launcher menu the thing I want to launch. The launchable thing can be for example an exe file like Spotify. I can also add the launchable thing into the Favorites. At least for me it is more convenient way to start the launchable thing to first add the thing into the Favorites and after that select the the thing from the Favorites. Then I don't need to start the Launcher addon first. As the launchable thing is not an Addon it is not listed into the Addon list. That is why the method you suggested is not possible. As I mentioned earlier the method I have tried works if the target thing is added to the XBMC system as a submenu item (for example under the Music-home menu item). But when adding it as a custom home menu item it just don't work . PHP Code: 19:14:50 T:3028 DEBUG: CApplication::OnKey: left (f082) pressed, action is Left - keig - 2011-12-11 The launchable thing is a BAT-file which starts a web browser and goes to a certain website. When adding the launchable thing (which created by the Launcher addon and is now in the Favorites) into a submenu as a submenu item and selecting it from the submenu I get the following log. And the web browser actually starts OK and it works just like I wish it would work. PHP Code: 19:26:42 T:3028 DEBUG: SDLKeyboard: scancode: 1c, sym: 000d, unicode: 000d, modifier: 0 - PatrickBateman - 2011-12-12 Hey Hitcher, I've noticed a strange bug with this skin and Navi-X. I'm using a current nightly (but it's apparent on all nightlys I've used) I'm on windows 7 I'm using navi-x 3.7.2 (latest revision) And your current SVN repo version of the skin (plus the edit you created) The bug is that when you select a file for download in navi-x the option to download appears with a dialog box and 4 options. On other skins the dialog box defaults to "ok" being highlighted and on Alaska it does not highlight anything. Meaning I can't select anything as pressing enter/left/right etc does nothing. I tried selecting ok with the mouse but mouse support is not supported, so basically it leaves me unable to grab content from navi x. Any ideas? Cheers, Pat~ - Hitcher - 2011-12-12 Got a screenshot so I know which XML is at fault; or enable Alaska's Debug Mode so you can see which one it is? - PatrickBateman - 2011-12-12 Hitcher Wrote:Got a screenshot so I know which XML is at fault; or enable Alaska's Debug Mode so you can see which one it is? Hey Hitcher, Yea no problems, sorry formthe lack of info, i'm just having my tea and watching the gadget show then I'll pop up some more info But basically, just try and download anything from navix and you'll be greeted with a menu, this menu works, but as soon as you select "download" from this menu you'll see the screen I'm talking about as you'll be stuck in it Also, I've added the advanced launcher to the home screen under a title of "games" and when I launch it, the skin seems to display a strange wireframe view then it eventually builds the square panel view? Then when I exit the plugin it takes me back through the program addons menu in file mode, when I would expect it to exit back to the screen where I launched it from... I think I had a similar problem previously with my remote when I mapped the buttons on it and had to use a slitly different command to allow it to go back home when closed rather than back through "tree" so to speak... Again, if you can make sense of that your a genius my descriptions leave something to be desired Thanks again thought for all the support, Gorgeous skin and loving using it at the moment... Fantastic! Cheers, Pat~ - Hitcher - 2011-12-12 I installed Navi-X and found the menu you're talking about unfortunately it's nothing to do with the skin and is part of Navi-X. |
