RE: Yet Another Confluence Mod - Bayside - 2012-06-09

I forked the master repository on GitHub, put in my new code manually and activated a pull request. So hopefully, the rest of the team here can see all the changes.

To be on the safe side, in case I goofed up something, here is a link to a zip file that contains the files that were changed or added to.

Please note that these files are modifications off of the 1.1.0b zip file since that was the base code I was using.

Bayside, PR looks fine...made some comments on github for you...

cheers
BTW: Joe, I will look into the RSS stuff tomorrow...I'm pretty sure I know what happened...might be my fault..let's see

RE: AW: Yet Another Confluence Mod - wilson.joe - 2012-06-10

things happen. I did make a bunch of colorized rss images to go with the many different
themes going to have to get feedback on those, but those are in the themes with transparency
media files. the images might appear smaller but they were scaled to the same specs as
the original.

RE: Yet Another Confluence Mod - mark2112 - 2012-06-10

wilson.joe, could you repost the textures zip with the blue ticks? Download didn't work.

RE: Yet Another Confluence Mod - wilson.joe - 2012-06-10

It is available in the git but u can get it from here. http://ubuntuone.com/42xCsBp1vcXoxEiXnyYyid
at least under i get things a bit some setup here.. I removed a folder from my computer and
it removed the zipped themes and in so doing it removed them also from my cloud.

edit: I will get them in order before the weekend is over, I realize it can be frustrating
and for that my apologies.

@Bayside, added a mile of comments for you on your PR, not bad but you'll find there are things I'm OCD about Smile and excuse the sometimes short sentences, not being rude but am busy.

RE: Yet Another Confluence Mod - Bayside - 2012-06-10

@mad-max and Mudislander... Thanks so much for looking at the code. I will get over there after all the morning family events to review all the comments. Cheers.

RE: Yet Another Confluence Mod - Bladerunner1962 - 2012-06-10

looks great!

Question: is it planned for the future, that for not so specialised XBMC users in XML programming,
some features would be added in order to adjust the main buttons and sub buttons in the home screen?

What sort of adjustments are you thinking of. Always interested to hear new ideas Smile

RE: Yet Another Confluence Mod - Bladerunner1962 - 2012-06-10

ok..."new" ideas :-)

I'm interessed in adjusting ON MOST EASIEST WAY the sub buttons under the main buttons. Means:
e.g. for Movies: sub buttons should be "Genre", "last seen", "Artists", "new added"

e.g. for Music: sub buttons should be "Genre", "Artists", "Albums", "Playlists", "last heard", "new added"

Cause everybody - also me - has his own "taste" according which main/sub buttons/functions he want
to have in the home screen for easy access, I would like to have a solution within the settings.
In the settings I could decide which Main buttons I would have or not have...I know is already there :-)
But, if I make a choice e.g. on "Movies" I would also have a set of selectable "sub buttons" (arising under
the main buttons).

RE: Yet Another Confluence Mod - Mudislander - 2012-06-10

I'll look into it for you, but I do have concerns over the idea - 5 submenu items on 10 main menu items = 50 variables that is then multiplied by however many different choices of submenu items you can offer. Already the better coders out there who've looked at my variables file will be saying "OMG what is this guy doing" Smile

ok ok :-)

I didn't thought about 50 variables! I would say 5-10 for each main button should be enough

Updated repo to v1.1.2 - due to size themes have been removed - wilson.joe will be able to give their locations when available. I'm going away for a few days and probably be out of contact for a while. As always interested in new ideas and bugs

RE: Yet Another Confluence Mod - wilson.joe - 2012-06-11
