I tried removing ~/.kodi/userdata/addondata/script.extendedinfo/ and a fresh git checkout, but it still fails.

EPG genre-colors do work, I've done some changes there in the latest PR.

The folder to use is /media/epg-genres/ for your colors. You can use both GenreType or Genre-name, but do not use both. If you do not see any colors by default then your backend most probably does not use GenreType (numbers).

My PVR backend is Mediaportal and i use genres @ xbmc 13.2 i have a colored Guide
the problem is fixed !!! with the current master I have colors Smile

at first try i did not clean extendedinfo cache. But now i have clean and the same problem.

@R3N3: I will not remove it from livetv because it's nice to have when watching internet-based channels, but I might add an option to show\hide it (only for livetv).
In your case is it allways visible or only when buffering?

okay.. I've delete the following folder ".kodi/userdata/addondata/script.extendedinfo/"
so I think it's not fixed jet... so no problem I can wait...

Suggestions based on latest git:
  • Can you add BD/DVD cases to Infowall and Wall views? I already use Aeon Nox 5 (which is cover-less) and would like to have consistent BD cases across all views as a break from my other skin. Cases are already present in LowList and Showcase, and this would be a great differentiator from the new Aeon Nox.
  • The covers in Wall view are a little too small. The spacing/size in Infowall is much more pleasing.
  • Turning on "logo instead of title" in Infowall forces the user to use the same settings in Wall view. Can this setting be independent for both? I like the logo in Infowall but prefer text with Wall.
  • Can you add the IMDB Top 250 position to more views, especially video info?
  • The standard blue disc in place of disc art doesn't look right at all. I'm also assuming your planning on adding something other than a spinning record to music-related views.

Every other improvement you have made is a real improvement over the old skin. I like it.

1) yes, I see the need for consistency, so I will probably either add them to those views (and make it some global option) or just remove covers completely too. We will see. My main aim is not to differenciate from Nox 5 though, if Nox 5 does things in a good way then I have no problems in just copying those parts Wink
2) what do you mean? album covers? Huh
3) not sure yet. Perhaps a separate option for InfoWall since that one uses logo at a different place.
4) One of the things which probably comes after any initial stable release. Much more important things to do atm.
5) Why does it not look right at all? I use a blue / silver fallback depending on resolution(bluray vs. dvd) for movies and a vinyl fallback for music. Seems good to me.

only when buffering ! after a channel change
please add this option to show\hide it (only for livetv)

channel logo is missing buttom left when tv active and the background video of the active channel is missing @ tv guide

and I think it looks better, better contrast for backgrounds

I think the movie posters in wall view are too small for the space given is what I was saying in a previous post. The space between posters in Infowall view seems about right.

My vote is for the inclusion of BD/DVD covers. It would also be nice to add an option for a cd in place of vinyl record in the music space (I'm not that old).

The only other desired add would be an unwatched icon on the TV poster for Showcase view. I can't find any unwatched information in this view in the floor labels or the infopanel. The unwatched icon already shows up in Shift, Infowall and Wall views.
