Close xbmc, delete the old folder and extract my zip. Then start xbmc again.

It has only something to do with the version, not with the settings nor with you.

could that be why i have a hard time finding things because i installed from the repo instead of clicking the download button?

You need an external player for sopcast streams. External players are set up in playercorefactory.xml. This file is not used in SportsDevil when player is not set to 'auto'.
So you only need to do this, if you want to see the 'Sopcast - xxxxxxxx' streams too, if available.
Btw, 'No stream available' means:
There is no stream for this match
or
there are streams, but they can't be recognised (which streamer is used)
or
there are streams, but they are not supported by SportsDevil
or
there are streams, but they all belong to some betting site you have to register at (and probably pay for).
