RE: [RELEASE] ustvnow - gajju - 2013-02-20

phileas50, thanks for your response. I have tried reducing the resolution too but its doing the same thing as before.

RE: [RELEASE] ustvnow - VanZan - 2013-03-16

First time using this so please indulge me! The only channels I can get working are ABC, CW, NBC and My9. The others just time out. Perhaps this is a limitation of only using a free account? Have changed the res down to 750.

RE: [RELEASE] ustvnow - VanZan - 2013-03-16

:edit: Addon is a bit nuts....sometimes some channels work and other times they don't!

I have installed this repo on raspberri pi but I cannot be able to make it work. I tried everything including changing Addon.py file, installing the new one posted few links above but nothing is working for me. I do see the channels list but when I click them then either it gives error message or "opening media stream" window comes and disappear immediately and does't give any error message. I don't know what to do next to make it work. Please help.

By curiosity did you login in the addon setting ?

RE: [RELEASE] ustvnow - kelmer - 2013-03-17

How do I enable the HD 1.4Mbps stream? The settings only go up to 1024
Thanks

Figured it out. Added 1400kbps to settings.xml
Doesn't play worth shit though.

RE: [RELEASE] ustvnow - greco - 2013-03-19

Wondering if there is a way to populate an EPG with these streams to get a working guide? Has anyone tried doing this?

If you search through the tvguide addon there are instructions buried in there somewhere. I've used them and they work great!

RE: [RELEASE] ustvnow - greco - 2013-03-26

Thanks I'll give it a shot. Until now I've only found the initial 'success' post from dscraw4d...

RE: [RELEASE] ustvnow - syborg - 2013-03-26

Hey Greco,

I had a little time so here what you need to get this setup.

Files
default.py - replacement for current ustvnow default.py
Icons - Icons for TVGuide
ABC.strm etc - Strm files to point TVGuide to the correct stream.
zap2xml.exe - program to grab the listings
USTV EPG Grab.bat - Batch file to automatically run the zap2xml.exe
USTVNOW Files - https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12292059/USTVNOW.zip - 2.5MB

Step 1 - Copy default.py into
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\plugin.video.ustvnow
replacing the current file.

Step 2 - Register with zap2it.com - http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tvlistings/ZCUserAccountLoad.do?aid=zap2it

Change your location to 17101 - Dish Harrisburg - Satellite Local

Then Set Preferences - and select channels
8 - WGAL (NBC)
15 - WLYH (The CW)
21 - WHP (CBS)
27 - WHTM (ABC)
33 - WITF (PBS)
43 - WPMT (FOX)
238 - WWOR (My9)

Tick boxes Six Hour Grid & Show only favourites and save.

Step 3 Open the USTV EPG Grab.bat in notepad and change the username and password to your own and save.

With both the USTV EPG Grab.bat and zap2xml.exe in the same folder. Run the bat file.

As the name suggests this will grab the EPG for the channels.

Step 4 In XBMC and tvguide in the settings point the XMLTv option the US TV data.xml file you have just create and the icons option to the icons folder.

Open tvguide and this will populate the epg click on a channel it will ask you for a strm file navigate to the named strm files you have extracted from the zip file. Do this for all the channels and you should be done.

RE: [RELEASE] ustvnow - greco - 2013-03-28

The audio sync issues are still present on Frodo running on android device. I don't think the stream is the issue because the audio/video sync off the website is perfectly fine.

Any help is appreciated...

Update: Reducing the bitrate on an android mini device resolves the audio sync issues. My guess is that it's not powerful enough to handle a 1024 bit stream.

In my C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\ folder I just have a folder called ustvnow. Nothing called plugin.video.ustvnow. Will this still work?

Where do you reduce the bitrate?

Thanks,

RE: [RELEASE] ustvnow - Aaron_Lloyd - 2013-04-11

Has there been any work done on integrating USTVNOW into XBMC's native live TV functionality?

RE: [RELEASE] ustvnow - youngt2 - 2013-04-17

I'm loving the USTVNOW option. Great for basic cable stuff.

Thanks for all your help. Would love to see someone maintain this as a regular add-on and integrate it as aaron stated. I don't really have enough knowledge to do that.

Thanks for that. It works perfectly however is it normal for it to not pull programme descriptions for the shows?.
