you are using an old xbmc version, built in Mar 9 2011
try with eden beta 1
you are also using your own swedish translation that has errors
you are also using the dharma version of rapier
try with the latest pre-eden version

Thank you for your answer but I don't feel that going from a stable XBMC version to a beta version is a solution, maybe more of a workaround. I am updating XBMC when there is a stable version that is updated through Update Manager in Ubuntu. I guess I should be using Dharma version of Rapier if this is the XBMC version I am using.
Regarding the swedish translation there is nothing that I have done except choosing Swedish as the language in XBMC and adding some sub menus from the GUI.
Is there nothing in the logs that you can find that points out what causes the error?

Downloaded from git today, things are working better. Although for some reason when I try to add a smart playlist to the main menu it plays it rather than opening it. If click on it through favorites though, it opens. is there a way to custom edit the command associated with a home menu item?

you can't expect from scarfa to work and maintain two different versions.
too much work especially when eden release is near.

if you want to help scarfa plz translate current english.xml to swedish and give it to him.

I think he is going to work in music stuff after finalizing eden release and add it to repo.
I have suggested him adding support for having visualization and artist fanart combined in background
and told me he may add this after adding rapier in eden repo.

I'm afraid this can't be fixed.
Rapier uses favourites script to add stuff in home menu.
It's script's job to send the proper information.
A workaround:
open favourites.xml add see how it is added there.
It would be something like
ActivateWindow(10502,"special://profile/playlists/music/1.xsp" )
then open guisettings.xml and try to find it there. it will be added there like
PlayMedia("special://profile/playlists/music/1.xsp",return)
replace "PlayMedia(" with "ActivateWindow(10502,"
you will have now,
ActivateWindow(10502,"special://profile/playlists/music/1.xsp",return)

It seems like this should be handled differently by rapier then. The default action for adding a smart playlist to the home menu seems like it should be to open it rather than play it.
Also I was previously having issues with sound but no video (as described earlier in this thread), but this seems to have resolved with the most recent git.... Except for one case. When I first boot up, if I choose pseudotv initially I get sound and no video. If I choose a video file first it will play normally, and I can then use pseudotv without issue. This does not occur with other skins.

Thanks for insisting on this. If you weren't I wouldn't see that something has changed in favourites script that caused that behaviour.
For now replace custom_DialogFavourites.xml with this file.

with regards to weather +
Not really sure how it works.
when i apply the weather plus, it seems to disable the main weather icon.
i just get that generic weather icon for the current weather.
