Skin for PC old enough ? - deckoff - 2011-05-06 My PC hardware struggles when I use XBMC in 1920x1080 mode on my TV. Navigating the menus is sluggish. Can someone recommend a skin with less eye-candy and faster performance I believe there is some life still left in my old Thinkpad - joebrady - 2011-05-06 Maybe you could tell us what skin you are using now? http://xbmc.org/skins/ PMIII - deckoff - 2011-05-06 I tried with Confluence and MediaStream Redux. Hardware visualisation is really slow, too. I will test and share with the community my results. - YodaEXE - 2011-05-06 If it's slow with Confluence then I'd say it's about time to upgrade that machine. - pecinko - 2011-05-07 deckoff Wrote:My PC hardware struggles when I use XBMC in 1920x1080 mode on my TV. With pm3.hd - deckoff - 2011-05-07 Yoda is probably right, but I love the laptop, and bought it for 50E, 3rd hand So I'll stick with it. Even playback of better quality video stutters, so I manually managed to set lower 16:9 resolution. Confluence works fine for me on this resolution, I love it, so i'll stick with it for now. PM3 really works faster for slower machines @pecinko - love your avatar Thank everyone for the help, most of the time my questions(in other forums) are left unanswered - automated - 2011-05-08 XeeBo is very fast for me http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=100334 |
