Hi everyone,
as a Newbie to Free Cable I need some assistance of maybe only clarification on the detailed settings for US cable TV.
I live in Germany and I am interested in watching mainly CBS using my XBMC in the living room.
I have a working proxy connection for the US, therefore I can watch for example The Big Bang Theory via the CBS website using mit Win7 computer.
After installing Free Cable on my RPi / RaspBMC 12.2 and enabling the proxy setting with the correct IP-address, I can access the episode directory of CBS "The Big Bang Theory", but I get a script-related error message.
The same happens using my Win7 / XBMC 12.1 computer which also uses the proxy.
I copied all the recent py-files (e.g. cbs.py dating end of April) into the lib-folder for Free Cable.
Stations like MTV seem to work, but for several I get the script-related error message or a second message stating that the requested content could not be played.
Am I missing something? I thought the recent py-files would help in accessing the stations...

Ok someone linked me to this thread. I need help getting free cable to work again.. every time i want to watch a show i click on the show then click on the episodes then there is nothing there.. how to fix that?? thanks

I see you have many updated on your database then file server, but database asking for login. How can I get files from it?

Is anyone having problems with fox? Is there a way to fix it? The notes that I see about it claim a "new streaming method," so is there a way to handle that new method? The shows and episodes load, but they fail to play for me. No errors, just goes back to the episodes list.

For everyone asking how to apply fixes etc. I'll try my best to explain this.
The original developer Bluecop hasn't been around for a while, therefore freecable isn't being updated for site changes. The git hub is maintained by Bluecop and hasn't been updated.
A few of us are doing our own fixes, and are posting the patches here.
Moneymaker has kindly grouped these fixes together here.

He is also working on a better solution, but I believe this isn't finished.
As for how to apply the fixes, in short find the original file and replace it.
The path will be something like .\XBMC\addons\plugin.video.free.cable\resources\lib
depending on what os.

As far as I know these should all work with a proxy (I just checked CBS works).

As posted above fox won't work because of DRM.
Cartoon Network, TBS and adult swim are dropping the stream after about a minute. Suspect this is something to do with the swfUrl, but difficult to investigate this because I can't watch eps on the networks' websites.

I m trying to have CBS working to be able to Watch David Letterman but no way.
I tried with an US VPN, with Smart DNS and also with some free US proxy but nothing. I get everytime script error when I select the show. The best option was the Smart DNS where I was able to watch the To Ten clips but not the Full Episode list.
Is there any suggestion? or working free proxy that I can use?
