exiledone1: syfy is still only using vp6/mp3 streams. atv2/ios devices have hardware acceleration for h264 which is what many sites stream(like the cw). Some sites are a mix of h264 and vp6. vp6 won't decode as well on ipad. I haven't had it crash on vp6 streams though. hopefully something in the log helps solve it.

Syfy only uses 48kbps mp3 for the sound which really sucks. its the lowest bitrate audio I know of from a us site and sounds like garbage.

mrdally204: free cable 1.0.0 is still coming. I am honestly working on fixing hulu+ support right now though. I love those 720p streams.

I'm having issues w/ 30 Rock and the Office. As I understand from an earlier post NBC also uses vp6? What I have on my win7 machine is severe audio/video sync problems w/ these shows. I'm using an Acer Revo w/ ion graphics. I'm using the nightly build and I've seen the problem using both librtmp v2.3 and the new v2.4. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
ps
This add-on along w/ the Daily Show and Colbert add-ons are the best things about xbmc.

here is librtmp 2.4 for atv2/ios. it supports type 9 handshakes. It is good news for Free Cable too. I got VH1 show working with the new version.

I was focused on a few updates for Hulu so I could get my Hulu+ on with 720p. It is now working well and supports Hulu+ properly again. I am going to go back to Free Cable and try to eliminate more bugs.

bladeds: I wasn't aware of this site. It has tons of good content. Thanks for the link. I will try to add it in.

sorry for going so slowly on Free Cable. it is just complicated on some sites because they aren't very standardized.

atv2: /Applications/XBMC.frappliance/Frameworks
ios: /Applications/XBMC.app/Frameworks

From what was said a few posts above it sounds like hulu is working now. I have latest 2.4 rtmp copied onto atv2.

I can browse Hulu just fine and when I click on a TV episode it says loading stream for about 20-30 seconds then fails.

not much in the log. did you enable debug loging in the settings? it doesnt seem to have the right level of detail.

BlueCop,Are you going to update the plugin for Hulu or do you have to have the latest latest 2.4 rtmp copied over to make it work?

- BlueCop - 2011-07-15 03:07

I have updated it and yes it is required.
