i rarely experience stream drops. when I do it is ussually caused by bandwidth issues. it isn't good at recovering from low bandwidth situations. You can always skip back to where you were if a stream drops. just enter the time and press enter or skip around with the directionals.
if you experience alot of drops try lowering the bitrate in the settings.

How do you skip to the time it dropped out at by entering it on apple TV 2?

you could use a remote that uses the web interface. my iphone xbmc remote letsnme drag the stream to skip where ever i want.
also you can install btstack and use a bluetooth keyboard for more control over xbmc on atv2. I am sure there are more options but those just come to mind.

With regards to the proxy outside the us - I'd like to help. Trying to get tbs to work - it doesn't on my atv2 - but works fine on my computer.

Is version 1.0.3 the latest version with Star Trek, Bravo, HGTV and food network? This is the version I have from the repo (unless It is not updating for me). Bluecop, when you say you added or committed the changes do we automatically get a new download from the repo or are you referring to a development version that we would have to manually grab to see those new changes?

it should be version 0.1.3
it will update if your have auto update ticked. you can always check for updates or force refresh the repo within addons section.

Guys i get CBS and ABC OTA so no problem there. Are NBC and FOX HD or SD only. I am looking for HD streams for NBC and FOX as the NFL is approaching fast.
