The latest XBMC nighties offer an advanced setting called 'cachemembuffersize' which allows for specifying a larger buffer-ahead cache than default for streamed content. It works nicely in a few plugins (YouTube, IceFilms, CNN); since it circumvents the pause issue (video continues to buffer whilst paused) and also smooths playback on choppy connections (since video buffers significantly ahead whilst playing).

Any chance of adding support for this to FreeCable? Unless it's a librtmp limitation?
