He's teasing us with his seductive preview porn, and is now pretending to be asleep, he's worse than the 23:50 ten minute fantasy channel preview! Smile They too slip out a nipple then disappear for the rest of the night! Wink

The swine!
He's so much like my GF it's ridiculous...

Looks amazing!!! altho the icon on the 'brushed aluminium' needs to be a bit lower IMO, right now it's partially covered by thumbnails.. Smile

No panic Smile these are only backgrounds Smile I've seen them in aeon nox gallery and asked to share. I'll post the link in about one hour, when i'm at work.

Hey,

Cheers butcha, they look amazing against the cirrus skin. They really set it off! Great idea and absolutely delicious to look at!

Cheers bro,
Thanks again for everything, and big thanks to frodo and piers too.

@butcha,

Quick question:
I've added the gorgeous new wallpapers but hate the dim type transition between them when navigating the home menu. How can I disable the dim animation and just the images transition normally without a dim effect?

Pat~

Edit:
I just edited the home.xml from 500 to 1 for the fade delay which has resolved the blinking/fading for the moment.

Shame the silvers images don't have a default or a favourites etc like the rest of the options Sad

Still they look fantastic against the cirrus skin... I've changed the system images to the black ones and also tried the Silver, they really suit the skin.

Edit 2:
Where is the dim/fade effect for the transitions in the system menu?...

Edit 3:
Found it under system.xml and reduced from 600 to 1 and it's looking fan-bloody-tastic! What a face lift! It looks and feels incredible...

Edit 4:
@butcha I've noticed that there is a difference in transparency in the music and pictures view? When viewing all other views such as videos, plugins etc in "list" view the background is transparent and the wallpaper is visible in the background. This is not the case with music/pictures view when entering directly from the home screen... They display the same Manu, style and information (such as add source etc) but the layout is not transparent like the rest of the views?

Any chance they too could be made transparent.

Also in the main menu, I've noticed that the highlighted item (such as movies/hd movies/music etc) is not actually centred with the screen. Its slightly off centre to the left. Any chance that could be move slightly toward the right, without affecting the other options in the menu?

Thanks again butcha Smile

@pat
So you don't have fading now? I'll take a look how it looks.
About focused items, damn i was sure they are not centered, so i'll take a look there too.

Hey Butch,
Yea now without fading on the home screen when navigating, and no fading between the systems items my HTPC feels and looks far more responsive and less flicker etc. Vast improvement (for me at least)
I origonally tried commenting those lines out, however it made the screen flash pretty badly, so i set them to 1 which has completly resolved the issue and it looks and feels far more responsive.

Yea, ive often thought they were off centre, but it neverreally bugged me enough to mention... Smile
Then today i really noticed it with those new walls, so i got a tape measure out (OSD from a screen shot) to verify and they are off slightly...

The centered item (music/video etc) is off centre to the left slightly, and the gap between the 3 items is not even, the item on the left is always closer to the centered item than the item on the right. (If that makes any sense) Smile

Ive also redone juliens default images in silver and red to use with the new skins so ill upload them asap.

Also, a quick question,
Any chance you could lower the now playing extended menu when in lower horizontal view? It seems to be stuck in the middle of the screen and it would probably look better if it was sitting directly above the main menus sub menu. Just a though... I was gooing to try it my self but ive been tinkering like mad today and just not had time to try it yet Smile

Pat, the backgrounds are off center, the menu items are alligned perfectly!

As much as I love these brushed steel backgrounds, they only really work if every background is in the same style.

I have a lot of custom menu items and I'm not sure I've got the graphic skills to make my own matching backgrounds, but I might have to give it a go...

Really?
I've checked again and at 1920x1080 on my HDTV the horizontal menu is slightly off centre... I just measured it with an actual old school tape measure too Smile

The distance between the item on the left hand side of my main menu is closer to the centered item than the item on the right. Also my centered item appears to be slightly off to the left? Ill post a screen shot with measurements attached when i get a second..

Here are the edited versions of julians files i mentioned for the "Stone Theme" and also to match the RED wallpaper that is in the wallpaper bundle you provided.

The .rar contains all the files in both red and silver.

So here all dear cirrus user gfx artists, you're pleased to show your creativity ! Smile

- butchabay - 2011-12-02

Pat,
Yes that's true, but the focused item IS centered. We can't control the itemlayout perfectly.
I'm trying to make changes, i'll post screenshots later. Smile
Btw, i'm working on movie sets view!

- butchabay - 2011-12-02

Ok i've commited the changes i've done for horizontal main menu.
Pat could you test it ?

Nice icons btw Smile Good job !
