there is no option to change to 16:9 in xbmc. my laptop screen goes from 1280x800 and 1024x768.

how do i change it to 16:9 or 1280x720 in xbmc?

If you set XBMC to full screen, do you get the resolution option underneath?

Even if you set it this way, the monitor will scale the resolution to fill the monitor so you will have a 16:9 resolution stretched to fit your 16:10 monitor. That is why I suggested just changing the video calibration. Then the resolution doesn't change and you get proper display of XBMC and videos.

I did. This is the one I was refering to but it wasn't quite how I remembered it, I thought all the posters were large, not just the one in focus.

But to be honest, I would rather have a Large Poster view that looks just like the current Poster view but with posters the same size as the Large List (that's what I meant with a cross between the two, sorry for being unclear).

@liquidskin76 I sorted the video calibration to change to aspect ratio to 1280x720 and the movie posters and album posters are all in the right size. sucks to have black borders now but i'll have to get used to it!

thanks, i'll try that.

Only for views that allow the image to be displayed 'as it is' (ie when it's on it's own), switch to any other and you'll see the dimensions set in stone.
