[WINDOWS] XBMC not picking up hidden .jpg files. - Achoo - 2011-05-28

Hi folks,

I'm having trouble with fanart in XBMC 10.1, compiled 3/8/2011.

With the advent of $70 1.5TB drives, I've been transcoding my DVDs in earnest. I've streamlined my ripping/transcoding/tagging process quite a bit and find that I no longer rely on XBMC's wonderful scrapers. However, because I gather tons of data in tons of formats, I prefer to keep the hidden attribute set for all the files except for the videos themselves. XBMC seems to have no trouble with hidden .nfo or folder.jpg files, but it's choking on fanart.

I have seen other posts on the issue, some dating back several years, but nothing with any indication of a resolution or explanation. I understand that I can un-hide my files and rescan my media, but I'd prefer for it to just work as expected.

Please help.

Thanks,
achoo
