[xbmc-live] brightness/gamma problem after nvidia update - calebdk - 2011-06-02

Thought it was time to update my nvidia driver from 195. to 270. Everything worked fine but the brightness/gamma in xbmc main menu's and while playing movies are way to bright. I can compesate for this with the OSD menu for the movies i play, but the xbmc menu's is still to bright. Has something changed in the newer nvidia drivers or do i just have to reset some values somewhere?

I installed the nvidia drivers via "sudo sh NVIDIA......"

XBMC 10.1 on ubuntu 10.04 LTS

my xorg.conf look like this:

http://pastebin.com/LpgdaM6k

Try changing the colorrange option to "full". Or switch off the studio colour conversion setting in xbmc. By the way "limited" I think clips super whites which are present in media if I recall - not good.
