How can I run XBMC-PVR alongside XBMC live? (re: ppa) - SofaKng - 2011-06-03 I've installed XBMC 10.1 (Dharma) using the PPA package under Ubuntu 10.10. If I want to test out the PVR branch, I know I need to compile it (which isn't a problem) but how can I run the stable release (from the PPA package) alongside the PVR release? Is this possible? - Percy - 2011-06-03 You don't need to compile it, install it. Repo's etc here: https://launchpad.net/~lars-opdenkamp/+archive/xbmc-pvr - SofaKng - 2011-06-03 Thanks! However, I'm wondering if it's possible to install both versions side-by-side... (ie. Dharma plus Eden-PVR, etc) - opdenkamp - 2011-06-06 your dbs (music, video) won't be in sync because the db layouts are different. - SofaKng - 2011-06-07 Couldn't I run them each in portable mode? - opdenkamp - 2011-06-07 like I said, they won't be in sync. so if you add something to your library in dharma, it won't be there in pvr/eden (and the other way around) |
