@ MARGRO: Latest Build 02-06-2011 Broken. - loggio - 2011-06-03 Hi Margro, Your latest build 02-06-2011 from Odk40 is broken. After install it crashes and asks for MSVCP100D.dll i manually downloaded and put that .dll in my system 32 folder and XBMC booted. But when i run your .TS reader plugin, the playback is REALLY CHOPPY, i mean... at full screen it plays back at about 12fps haha so i think the plugin is broken. RTSP plugin works fine on both odk40 and your build, however i don't use this add-on. It's not practical because there's like an 8 second delay in channel changes. back to 10.1 build for now hehe *Edit It MUST be the TS plugin (or PVR Code) that is broken. XBMC ability to play back TS files is fine. I tested playback with a recorded .TS file from mediaportal and it plays back fine. - macardi - 2011-06-03 Have you tested with another skin, i noticed the same with confluence and this build, but with Focus it works fine. - loggio - 2011-06-03 there is no PVR version of focus, is there? - macardi - 2011-06-03 Well, there was, it was pulled back due to some bugs. But i think a new version will be released quite soon. - loggio - 2011-06-03 Well, i have no idea how you could have tested that skin release with the Current pre eden builds... I'm referring to the pre-build that margo put up today. not the stable 10.1 build. - macardi - 2011-06-03 I installed the new build from Margo that was released yesterday, and I have the version of ReFoucus (0.9) that was pulled back, I downloaded it before it was pulled back. If you have ReFocus 0.9 you have to rename MyTV.xml to MyPVR.xml in order to get it work. - loggio - 2011-06-03 it's not the skin. - macardi - 2011-06-03 Well Im not an expert, but with Confluence i got the exact same lag and choppy live tv as you report in your first post, but with ReFocus I got a perfectly smooth picture. - margro - 2011-06-03 Its indeed a Confluence skin issue. I haven't changed the TSReader code recently. I've done the following to pinpoint the problem:
The only interesting part from the XBMC.log file are the CRenderManager::FlipPage warnings. Quote:20:01:42 T:1028 M:4168077312 DEBUG: ------ Window Init (VideoFullScreen.xml) ------ - loggio - 2011-06-04 Ha! Well there you have it. My apologies macardi for doubting! - margro - 2011-06-05 I think i found the problem with the low fps on radio/tv playback when using the new horizontal Confluence skin. Could somebody try this modified DialogSeekBar.xml file. Replace the old one found in addons\skin.confluence\720p with this file and check whether the framerate and TV playback are now ok? - Red_F - 2011-06-05 margro Wrote:I think i found the problem with the low fps on radio/tv playback when using the new horizontal Confluence skin.I'll install the 02-06-2011 version and update the skin to do some tests this afternoon. BTW, you may want to zip the XML file. Most browsers want to load it instead of downloading . - Freakish - 2011-06-05 Margro, Does your new Dharma build also have the deinterlace patch, or is this only in the Eden branch? - Red_F - 2011-06-05 Ok, the results. I'm using ForTheRecord 1.6.0.0 as backend PVR server, TsReader. After installing the 20110602 version, switching on 'debug' on the system settings menu and starting viewing Live TV the framerate varies from ~24, dropping to ~14 then catching up a few frames ~30 back to ~24 again. This cycle repeats with small variations. After updating '.....\XBMC\addons\skin.confluence\720p\DialogSeekBar.xml' with your patched version, starting viewing Live TV has some transient fps fluctuations and then settles at a solid 25 fps (PAL). So I would say this fixes the problem (for me ). Cheers, Fred - margro - 2011-06-05 @freakish: no, the Dharma build has no deinterlace patch because the latest (v5) patch does not apply. @Red_F: thanks for testing. I will include it in the next build and inform Jezz_X/Dushmaniac about the problem. |
