first of thank you for headphones! awesome piece of software, now to my suggestion -


we know alot of people (including myself) is scrobbling music to last.fm from software's like spotify/wimp (and alternatives to thoes). now how about headphones interact with that scrobbled list and (with option) auto-add artist and the selected album/song you listend to if it dosnt already exist in your database/list Smile

that would almost automate the whole process of downloading songs

I'm having a little (permission) problem here. Headphones init.d script only starts with sudo, so autostart fails

Hey guys, looking for a litle help, had a previous version working fantastically well, thanks a million this rocks, however updated and now i am getting the following error when i try and scan my library..

i've tried changing ports, hosts, open and close firewalls, etc... i always get the above results.
i've successfully configured and been using couchpotato and sickbeard for some time. just can't headphones to work. any help would be appreciated.

I am still having trouble of artists being populated even after I delete them. everytime headphones rescans my library these artists are shown up however I dont have the albums for them or they are not real arists on my list.

There is an option in the manage that you can uncheck that has do not manually add artist. I think that will stop the readding of the artist

ok I am still having trouble with artists being added that are not in my download folder.

I have deleted the artists (see log) however when it rescans my library these artists are added which are not in my download folder in bold.

Those artists are listed in an ID3 tag somewhere. I had the same kind of problem as somehow I got a bunch of files that had the ALBUMARTIST field filled with the artist's names in a Lastname Firstname format so I was pulling up things like Clapton Eric as an artist. I also had a lot of things like duets and guest artists showing like your David Guetta & Chris Willis problem because they were listed in the ALBUMARTIST field that way.

I used mp3tag to go through my library and strip out everything but the tags I use and to search out and clean up a few others that weren't right and that solved it.

Agreed. Lots of improvements in a very short time. Already very usuable and getting better and better quickly.

Now I just need something for Music Videos and Books and all my media needs will be met.

And Headphones seems like it wouldn't be too hard to modify to handle books. Gonna have to look into that sometime. Smile
