This would be an excellent addition!

I would like to see this feature implemented. When using the IMBD app, if you press "share this link" when viewing a movie/tv show, you should be able to select MediaDog and have it add to your respective list.

I use Mobile Potato for that: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.oskarsson.mobilepotato

I assume you do as well but want to consolidate.

I cannot seem to view history in sabnzb unless there is something downloading. Is this normal?

I've been having trouble viewing history as well. Sometimes it works, sometimes i cant swipe over there. I cant say for sure what circumstances it's working during though, as right now i do have something in my queue but am stil unable to see the history.

Good that you got it working since youve got the ports right and it works over internet it should work localy to.

Not relly sure on whats wrong here but but could you try resetting router or try with another one.

I have similar setup and it works relly well.

unable to connect to sabnzbd - jamesdew - 2011-10-19

Too all who are having issues connecting to sabnzbd, I was not able to connect while running sab 5.4.1 but all is fine after updating to 6.10.

If others can confirm this experience maybe we should point out that mediadog requires sab 6.x in the start of the thread.

When you connect on your local network you'll need to use your local ip.

What you're most likely experiencing is hairpin nat, you're trying to come back in on the port you're going out on. Some routers cope with hairpin nat, recognise where you want to go and redirect you to your local subnet, others get confused and just drop the packets. Sometimes a nat rule can fix it, ask on the manufacturers forum.

Accessing Sickbeard through MediaDog stuck at "Select download location" ! - Torricumbo - 2011-10-23

Hi - When selecting Sickbeard via Mediadog and then searching for a TV Series and selecting it, I then get prompted on Android to "Select download Location" and can get no further - no download locations are listed.

I have double checked my SickBeard settings on my PC and the Mediadog settings on Android and cannot see anything that might relate to this.

Can anybody advise ?

goto http://localhost:port/home/addShows/existingShows and see if there is any dirictory in there under manage dirictorys.

If there is not anything there i guess mediadog wont find it.

As I was adding a brand new show via MediaDog+SickBeard should it not be creating the directory directly from instructions sent from the phone app for the new show?

So if from the sickbeard UI, you go add shows > add new show > search for your new show > check show you want > click next >

you should be presented with "Pick the parent folder" do you have any parent folders listed in there? If not, add one.

If you don't have any of those options update sickbeard.

Heya,

Thanks for this, great stuff.

Personally, I'd like to use this while I'm on the road, and I don't like to have a bunch of plaintext holes in my firewall, so I have SabNZBd, Sick Beard and Couch Potato accessible through an authenticating Apache reverse proxy on a secure port.

Do you think you could add the ability to:

1. Use https and authenticate to https rather than to the individual apps
2. Specify the directory where a particular app lives

eg. sickbeard will be at:
Code:
https://server:port/sickbeard
and I would authenticate to the webserver

Thanks!

Love this app! I mainly use it on the go and to show-off to friends and colleagues :-)

I have one small issue: when I add a new show via Mediadog, I don't get a banner within the Sickbeard part of Mediadog.

Edit: My isseu was already adressed

Ahhh - thanks, all sorted
