Attach a HTPC on back of TV - mauzzz - 2011-08-18

Hi,

I got a Shuttle XS35GTV2 as XBMC box and I would like to attach it to the back of my flatscreen TV (not fixed to a wall). Shuttle sells a special VESA mount (PV01) that will hold the Shuttle but it is aimed at LCD monitors given the 75x75 and 100x100 positions on it. My flatscreen has 200x300. Obviously I need a adapter between the two. Vesa adapters are made to support tens of kilo's (which I obviously don't require) and are priced accordingly. There must be a cheaper solution.

Has anybody tried this? Any tips or advice?

I have this Sanus MA4A to take the Sony LCD's 300mm x 200mm down to 100mm x 100mm. It was just under $20.

What about something like this

Thanks for the advise. In the end I found an adapter on ebay that can connect the Shuttle bracket to a Philips tv with 200x300 vesa positions. It's not pretty, luckily I can't see it Big Grin
