Hmm - amazon prime plugin just started magically working again. I don't see any updates in the repo, so maybe amazon changed their service back? I tried a few shows that were definitely broken.. like 24 s1e1 (and deep space 9 which I was watching when it all broke..)

Hope it stays working.

Free content only? - originalgabriel - 2012-03-09

I saw that someone asked this early on in the thread but I didn't see any response ... I'm wondering if there is a way to only show content that is free to Prime members or, at the very least, have some means of differentiating free content from content that can only be rented/purchased?

Working for me again, too. What happened?

- BlueCop - 2012-03-09

originalgabriel: that's already how it works. what is your understanding? purchased content is in "my library" and prime content is every where else.

There isn't purchasing in the plug-in. You do that in a web browser and then the plugin can access it in "my library". I didn't want to mess with purchasing code. It could cause too many problems if there was a bug.

I tested some videos that were once flash access drm. they can be watched again.

Thanks Amazon! if you're reading this.

I have reviewed this forum from top to bottom, and I am still unclear if/how the library integration with Amazon is supposed to work. I have favorited shows in tv and movies, and have also changed the settings to store my library in a separate folder (which apparently isn't a mutually exclusive option with "store library in addon settings), but no .strm or .nfo files are generated in my user-defined folder or in the addon folder. I have, however, been able to use XBMC.Mylibrary just fine with both Amazon and Freecable.

So, my question: am I correct in expecting .strm and .nfo files to be generated in my user-defined folder when I update the library? Is there some other trigger I'm missing? Is it possible to integrate the library-integration code from the Hulu plugin with Freecable and Amazon, or is there a reason why Hulu was unique?

I was going to play with the plugin code a bit this weekend, but I thought I would ask first...

Edit: Disregard the question about integrating library-integration code from hulu into Freecable. I just re-read the freecable thread where BC indicated he is working on adding that feature to Freecable.

Something is funky on my end then as I'm seeing both content available for rental/purchase in addition to content available for free to Prime members; for example, if I browse to Movies>Genres>Comedy the first movie listed is "3000 Miles to Graceland" which is only available for purchase or 48hr rental.

I just tried reinstalling the addon from scratch and it's still acting that way.

I'm brand new to XBMC so forgive me if I'm just an idiot haha. I loaded BlueCop, loaded RTMPDump (I think) and I'm a Prime user. I've got access to the database of movies/shows but none of them play. What am I missing here?

Thanks!

I need to update the database to eliminate the items they have removed from prime.

there are non-free items in there currently.

I have not been able to view anything through this pluggin

I can view this Episode through my web browser

jpenguin: you didn't meet the first requirement in the first port. You need a new librtmp or an Eden build that already has the new librtmp

RE: [RELEASE] Amazon Prime Instant Video plug-in addon - gjlp - 2012-03-17

Amazon's website now announced that they've added thousands of new shows includinf content from Nickelodeon and Discovery but I don't see any of this content in the plugin. Is this something you need to setup manually or am I able to somehow perform a refresh to pull in the new content. Thank you, BlueCop for your continued support of this awesome plugin!

RE: [RELEASE] Amazon Prime Instant Video plug-in addon - BlueCop - 2012-03-17

There is an option to manually refresh.

I honestly stopped thinking about amazon once they started doing DRM streams.

It currently would need new databases for tv and movies.

You can scan new content into the databases with context menu. It is too hard to maintain a current list with how much they expand the database.

I am considering ways to fix this. I am going to have to refactor a bit to try to fix it.

RE: [RELEASE] Amazon Prime Instant Video plug-in addon - B34ver - 2012-03-19

Having an issue playing media. Hulu working fine, but as of yesterday no amazon files will play. Receiving "one or more files failed to play" and "script failed" when attempting to play streaming Amazon content.

Attempted Resolutions: Clean install of XBMC

Other information: US, Prime membership OK until 8/12, XBMC 11.0 "Eden" RC2 on Win7

Log: http://pastebin.com/pezG04Ra

Any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE: Checked, corrected login/pass

Issue persists. New Paste @ http://pastebin.com/6bUtwPfX

BlueCop, loving the script, thanks for the work it is greatly appreciated!

I was wondering, how difficult/possible would it be to shows and movies that have been marked as favorite added to the general library? I think this would be a nice interface option allowing for a slightly cleaner setup, primarily with television shows.

Amazon is giving me script error - I think same problem as B34ver. Login info entered. I can browse directory and images, but can't play.

What might cause the "ValueError: need more than 3 values to unpack", which seems to be a python error being reported in the log?

Hulu addon works for me.

I'm a newbie, just installed latest version of the Eden xbmcbuntu release.

Thx.
