I just installed the Amazon Prime add-on and am having some trouble. I'm able to play TV series from the "My Library" menu, but I can't play anything else - I get a script error on movies (in My Library or outside of My Library) and on any TV shows not in My Library.
I'm running Ubuntu 11.04, with xbmc version from Maverick (Ubuntu 10.10).
librtmp0 v2.4 is installed to /usr/

Bluecop, thanks a ton after installing librtmp with prefix=/usr it worked. Great!
But I am still having trouble with ESPN3 and Hulu. Hulu did work at one point and then it stopped again. Also my XMBC restarts as soon as I highlight Hulu. I am not even able to click it or start it. I am not sure if this has something to do with which XBMC nightly i am using.
I would like to start over. How do I completely remove the Bluecop repository, all the plugins, and relevant data? I removed the repository and the plugins from the "addons" folder and the data from "addon_data" folder in "userdata". Is that it? Is there anything else I need to remove to start over from scratch (eg. should I remove any scripts like mechanize, beautifulsoup, etc?)?

I'm trying to force the plugin to sync with Amazon.. it's missing some shows. The one I've noticed so far is Arrested Development: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000N2TMKO/ref=sr_1_1_vod_0_pri?ie=UTF8&qid=1317856556&sr=8-1
Is there any way to force downloading of new content? I've already tried removing the tv.db file and restarting xbmc, but that didn't seem to work.

You can execute a full refresh in the plugin by using a context item "Full Television Refresh" on the Television item. It should pick up and add the new shows. You might want to use the content items on the new shows to scan in TVDB data.
I can upload a new database later though. The user can do the above to get any new content in the db though.
I wanted to add that it takes a bit of time to scan for new content. It will report to your how many new episodes it has added. It will not report duplicates already in the database.
I am working on a small stop and resume update to keep the position stored in the database for when you stop media. it will work similarly to hulu pause resume but store the data locally.

Yea, that did it, thanks. Took about 30-45 minutes to run fully.
Firewall compatability - mega30000 - 2011-10-10
Hello.
Thanks for the work on this great plugin. However, I have one problem that I am running into. If my routers firewall is enabled I cannot connect to Amazon or Hulu. If it turn it completely off I can connect with no problem.
Would turning on port forwarding for xbmc be a work around?
Any suggestions?

i runa firewall in my router that runs dd wrt. it doesnt seem to have problem streaming.
You shouldn't need any ports forwarded because It only does outbound connections.
Does it affect playing in a browser?
I would consult your router documentation.
please post your solution if you find one to benefit others.
Trouble with XBMC trunk - candrews - 2011-10-13

Can't say thanks enough for all your hard work on these plugins. For most issues I've had, I've been able to research the answer easily enough. But I have no idea what's going on here. When I try to click TV Shows or Movies, I get a script error. Any ideas?

Awesome plugins! There is an issue with adding Favorites to the Library though. It seems that if there is an episode with a question mark (?) in the name, it's trying to write that filename, which is not allowed in Windows, so the script fails and nothing actually gets added (some of the strm and nfo files are created). I'm guessing invalid characters need to get stripped out before creating a filename. I was hoping to try to add a couple series to my Library like I did with your awesome Hulu plugin, but both series I tried (Cheers and The Wonder Years) have episodes with the same issue, so I'm at a standstill! Thanks!

Anyone else have very frequent buffering while watching HD Amazon streams? Watching the same program on the website is smooth & buffer-free, watching in XBMC it buffers every minute or two. Any ideas?

Did you try grabbing the latest version of rtmpdump and using that? That's really all you can possibly do for this.

hay BlueCop - great plugin, thanks a lot for this - it works and plays perfectly - any chance of a search functionality though? It is kind of hard to find specific movies, but searching the amazon site finds them really easily.
