Problem : "unable to connec to remote server" on atv2 - fparkes - 2011-08-23
Hello, when i try to retrieve information such as fan art, i get an error message saying "unable to connect to remote server". I get this same error message when i try to retrieve other such information. I'm using a jailbroken apple tv 2, and a windows laptop. I am a novice at this, is there some other piece of software that I'm supposed to have on my laptop that communicates with xbmc? The videos themselves on my network show up fine and play, it's just some of the other functionality of xbmc that I seem to be locked out of.

since you didn't provide information i bet you installed the version from nitotv. You have to update to the latest nightly version for getting rid of this problem...

Yes this was via Nito Tv.
Can you advise what is required and how I go about it to rectify the problem.
As you probably guessed I am relatively inexperienced when it comes to this.
