I will look into adding facebook log-in but I don't have an account right now.

I can't get the My Playlists option to appear in the menu. I have created a playlist on the website then followed the instructions you give above, but the ID is 7 digits not 6. I've tried putting that into the addon settings but the menu option does not appear.

Is it because the ID is 7 digits not 6?

just recieved an email from VEVO that they are switching to facebook login only. will this affect the addon?

wow bummer. i had a party last night and totally wanted to use Vevo. it wouldnt' work and I thought it was because of my upgrade to Eden RC2. Bummer. Thanks for all you do, BlueCop

I am just going to replicate the site functionality again.

The plugin will lose some listing options for artists. It will lose anything not listed on the site anymore.

There is a cooler feature to be made though. I want to make it query your music database for a list of artists you have. It will then attempt to match that list to artists available on vevo. It would be a great way to narrow the list of artists you want to see.

I need a facebook account to see how custom site playlists work now. I don't really want to get one. I might try to find someone to log some interactions for me to look at.

video lists will be pretty much the same their categories didn't change.


It will be structured like this.

Charts
-Top Videos
-Top Artists
-Staff Picks
Orginals
-list VEVO Shows here
Videos
-video genre lists with view sub options. This is very much like videos before. they didn't change their genres.
Artist Match
-List of artists matched from your music library

There isn't an artist list I see.

There will be a search as well. I need to look at some more logs for videos vs artist matches.

I committed an update that gives you working video and artist browsing by genre. It has video and artist search. It can also access vevo original shows.

There is no playlist support right now. I don't have a facebook account to work on this.

I already had this working so I just put it up for people to use. I have more work to do on it.

BlueCop ... you're awesome. Just joined XBMC.org today (got a jb'd atv2 a couple weeks back and just learning out to putz around with it) after noticing Vevo had failed. Thanks for your hard work. Love the Vevo plugin.
