Apple Remote keys mapping - pecinko - 2011-09-04 I started to use Mac mini as HTPC recently and love it so far. I have a question about button mapping of Apple silver remote. While playing movies, I can use play/pause to do well play/pause actions. However, this seams to be duplicated with select button short press. Is there a reason for this duplication? I would suggest short select for OSD and long select for movie info with this reasoning: - short press select is more intuitive for OSD - long press select mapped to DialogFullscreenInfo.xml is maybe more logical as the same action opens up DialogVideoInfo.xml when you are in a list Makes sense? - amet - 2011-09-04 I think select button on silver remote shares the same code for select on white apple remote, white doesnt have play/pause button so removing it on silver will make it unusable. - pecinko - 2011-09-04 amet Wrote:I think select button on silver remote shares the same code for select on white apple remote, white doesnt have play/pause button so removing it on silver will make it unusable. Had not thought of that... Well if we are unable to tell which one is being used, I guess we'll have to wait for the white ones to become obsolete. |
